Common Use Cases
Social Media Image Preparation
Each platform has specific image dimensions. Resize your photos to exact specs for Instagram posts, Facebook ads, LinkedIn banners, and YouTube thumbnails.
Website & Blog Optimization
Oversized images slow down websites. Resize photos to the actual display dimensions (e.g., 800px wide) to dramatically improve page load times.
E-commerce Product Listings
Marketplaces like Amazon, Etsy, and Shopify require specific image dimensions. Batch resize all your product photos to meet platform requirements.
Passport & ID Photos
Government applications often require exact photo dimensions (e.g., 600x600px for US passport). Resize to precise specs without guessing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will resizing reduce image quality?
Downscaling (making smaller) preserves quality well — the image is resampled smoothly. Upscaling (making larger) can introduce blurriness because new pixels have to be interpolated. For best results, start with the largest version of your image.
What does 'lock aspect ratio' mean?
When aspect ratio is locked, changing the width automatically adjusts the height proportionally (and vice versa). This prevents your image from being stretched or squished. Unlock it when you need a specific non-proportional crop.
What image formats are supported?
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP, and TIFF are all supported for input. Output format matches the input by default, but you can choose a different format if needed.
Can I resize images for Instagram specifically?
Yes. We include presets for common Instagram sizes: square post (1080x1080), portrait post (1080x1350), story (1080x1920), and profile picture (320x320). Select the preset and your image is resized instantly.
Is there a maximum image size?
There's no artificial limit. Since resizing happens in your browser, the constraint is your device's available memory. Most devices comfortably handle images up to 10,000x10,000 pixels. Very large files (100MP+) may need more memory.
